Who We Are
Faces of Autism Awareness was created in May 2017. Our mission is to bring programs to families in Livingston, Wyoming and Genesee Counties that are touched by autism. Our goal is to be able to provide these programs at little or no cost to our families.

Jodi Maurer
President/Founder - Jodi spent 7 years as a teacher before leaving the education setting and entering the business world. She is the mother of 2 boys, TJ and Donovan. TJ is on the autism spectrum and was the inspiration to creating this group.
Norm Maurer
Board Member - With us since our founding, Norm is one of our veteran team members. He is husband to Jodi and father to TJ and Donovan. A dedicated family man that brings his creative ideas to everything we do.
Drew Richardson
Board Member - Drew is a Direct Support Professional for Heritage Christian Services. A self-advocate who was diagnosed with Autism as a child, Drew has extensive experience with transitions for adults with Autism. Drew is also a stepparent to a young man on the spectrum.
Patricia E. McCalister
Board Member - Patty McCalister, LMHC who specializes in working with young adults on the Autism Spectrum, with a focus on ages 15/16 and up. She has over 25 years of experience working with individuals with ASD and knows that the young adult population is underserved. After being motivated by her nephew, whom she has raised, she went back to school and recently opened her own counseling practice to provide support to those individuals and their families. Additionally, she has completed a training class from AANE to become an AsperCoach to assist teens and young adults with social skills/life skills. She is excited to be a part of Faces and looks forward to doing all she can to support individuals with ASD.
